In the Mercedes-Benz BABY-SAFE 3 i_SIZE infant carrier, babies from birth up to an age of 15 months (approved in accordance with R129 for children from 40 to 83 cm, up to a body weight of 13 kg) are safe and comfortable on the road. A rearward-facing baby carrier provides good support for the head, neck and back during a normal journey and in the event of an accident. The upholstery used helps to relieve the particularly vulnerable body areas of infants. The Mercedes-Benz child seat program is also regularly checked with regard to the restraint effect and quality through extensive crash tests. The sun shade with UPF 50+ sun protection protects the child against wind and sunlight. The grab handle, adjustable in 3 ways, can be operated with one-hand only meaning the baby can be placed easily into the infant carrier. The head restraint is adjustable in height and the backrest can be moved to a fully reclined position. It can also be removed and washed. Replacement covers are available separately.
